GameFly files further complaints against US Postal Service

Oct 14th 2009 10:29AM (Joystiq)
I've been using Gamefly for about a year and it's been pretty slow for the most part. I sent a them an e-mail about this and they blamed it on the USPS, and at the time I didn't really believe it. They said that they try to get the USPS to scan the games that you send back as soon as they arrive at the post office, that way GF can go ahead and send your next game..and that sometimes the USPS just doesn't do it, or they don't have the equipment. Then one day I sent in a game and, lo and behold, it showed it my queue that it had been scanned at the post office and the next game was on the way. The USPS has not scanned a single one of my games since then and it's taking me just as long to get a game as it did before. So yeah...now I believe Gamefly.

Like Michael said, don't just assume that Gamefly sucks and cancel your subscription, complain first. I realize now that it's the fault of the postal service and not GF, and while it still takes a while to get my games...I still support GF because I know that if myself and other people don't do so...then they will never be able to improve the service. I'm honestly not surprised that they are suing the USPS because they are making GF look bad and causing them to lose a lot of business. I'm glad that some of my subscription money will help fund that lawsuit in the hope that it will allow the service to work as it should.

I do think there is one very valid point for criticizing GF, though. They need to stop wasting money creating websites for Flash games and put that money back into the service for improvements.

Krazy Kart Racing: Pyramid Head vs. Frogger

This.

It's seems like it would be a no-brainer. But then again, MS might not want any competition for their kart racing game, the name of which escapes me...but you guys know what I'm talking about. It's the one with avatars that they showed at E3.

Platinum_Skeet's procrastination is excused. Anyone with platinum skeet probably has a lot going on.

Well according to the article, it will be released on August 3rd which means you still have a few days. That's more than enough time to finish every DLC that's been released thus far even if you haven't started any of them. Bethesda is not at fault for your procrastination.

Netflix comes to Sony's Bravia TVs; PS3 befuddled

Jul 9th 2009 5:30PM (Joystiq)
A lot of Bravias (like mine) require the Bravia Link Module (extra $200) for streaming internet video. I'm not sure if any of them do it without add-on, but I would imagine the newer more expensive models do.

The TV just has to Bravia Link compatible, which is pretty much any Bravia you'll find at a retail store. The Bravia Link module mounts on the back of the TV and costs about $200. Until now it was just used for Amazon VOD so I haven't bothered to pick one up, and I already have a 360 so this isn't going to make me want one either.

PSA: Kodu Game Lab is now live

You can keep an eye on Major Nelson's blog also. I'm sure he will mention something about it since it seems to be a widespread issue. I was able to get Kudo but I've run across quite a few errors as well. Looking at new Rock Band content was impossible.
