Valve gifts Notch his own head, on other people's heads

@Sift We do not take exception to your view of Minecraft. It's the way you present it. Starting a comment by calling something "a shitty overpriced piece of indy garbage" is far from the best way to present your opinion.

Despite it's flaws, there must be something right with Minecraft considering the amount of time I and many others have spent with it.

Sony doesn't want to drop PS4 too long after Wii U and next Xbox

@malexandria1 Wait, what? Just hold the power button for about 3 to 5 seconds: the console turns off. What is complicated about that? I've used a couple electronic devices that were turned on or off that way.

@Wheeelman Let that big DLC be a 2142 pack. Like BFBC2's Vietnam.
Or maybe not. Haven't played much Vietnam since those weeks after I bought it.

@Everything I say is true It's been said many times, but $600 gets you a good-enough gaming rig.
$1500 got me a great laptop, with arguably the best GPU available (AMD 6990m), you should be able to get the same performance in a desktop for less than half the price I paid.

@Everything I say is true You may have a driver problem.
Especially considering that the BF3 alpha was much more stable on ATI cards than NVidia. If you can play BFBC2, BF3 should run just as well with slightly lower settings. Is your I7 dual or quad-core?

The BF3 beta runs at about 30FPS at 1920x1200, graphics high, on my Laptop (playing on a 28" 1200p monitor). It runs slightly higher at 1080p.
BFBC2 runs at 60-100. I can record with fraps without dipping lower than 30fps.

To those interested, I highly recommend Clevo / Sager laptops. They're a somewhat noname brand known by enthusiasts for their good build quality and great price/performance. Look-up Malibal.com, one of many resellers and where I bought mine.

EA is fixing these issues found in the Battlefield 3 open beta

@ReadingRambo As stated in the bug fixes list in the article, it depends on the target's movement. Still targets take 6-8 M416 shots. If they're running they die in 2-3.
I had not really noticed it while playing, but in hindsight, it explains so many of my WTF moments in the game.

@PointlessPuppies
Has a pure capitalist system ever really been tried? We've been closer to pure socialism, no? (By we I mean a human society)
