No, I remember back in the day they were predicting Nintendo's demise because the N64 wasn't as hardcore as PS. Most of the "mature" games, RPGs, shooters, etc etc were on PS and Nintendo survived off 1st party games...as they do now..SNES was the last console that "hardcore".

I call bullocks on this one.
While Nintendo does focus on "casual" games, it's hard to say the GameCube was anymore "hardcore" than the Wii is. Same goes for N64.

Am I the only one that's surprised to the see the PS2 STILL hasn't gone down in price? I bought mine a full year ago for $130 with a $30 giftcard...and it hasn't dropped a bit. Amazing.

Gah, why can't they get with it on the BC. This is seriously annoying how they continue to make new SKUs that keep leaving it out. I would have gone for this deal if it had it. Both 360 and Wii have it standard, Sony is dropping the ball. As it is I'll keep waiting, or end up getting the MGS4 bundle.

I remember being psyched about this game before the GC was launched, it sounded like an epic sci-fi adventure touching on deep themes..then when I saw the recent clips of it and saw it's nothing more than a simple brawler with lots of loot...how lame!
