Dec 26th 2011 2:01PM (Joystiq)It's like if Chuck Norris and Mr. T were to walk into a bar at the same time. The building would immediately be destroyed as that amount of awesomeness cannot be contained in one place. Two of me would be like that, but without the awesomeness...

Dark Souls speed run is a tour de force of tolerance
Oct 17th 2011 11:55PM (Joystiq)Didn't watch the video, but sounds like the Drake sword. When you use it with 2 hands and press R2, it sends a shock wave forward, but it depletes 30 durability points every time you use it. It's an excellent sword for the early stages of the game, as it deals 200 hit points with a standard attack.
You get it by destroying the red dragon's tail on the bridge in the section after the Taurus demon. When you are underneath the bridge, you will see the tail swinging off to the right. Just equip a short bow and take 40 arrows or so and keep shooting until the tail disappears. It takes some time, but well worth it. It pretty much kills all the basic enemies in that area in one hit, and kills the red cape knights in 3 or 4 hits. I believe you need a strength of 16 to wield it, but well, well worth it.

Oct 7th 2011 5:19PM (Joystiq)I was sort of thinking the same thing. The screen gets real choppy when moving the camera (sorry for lack of technical terms). The game just doesn't seem as smooth as the original. Both games are beautiful, but
Dark Souls just doesn't seem as smooth when moving.

Oct 6th 2011 11:06PM (Joystiq)I know, at least for me, that I have a better understanding of what to look for in Dark Souls from having played Demon's Souls. Those who never played DS are probably all having the same thoughts playing DaS as we did when we first played DS.

Oct 6th 2011 11:00PM (Joystiq)Not as far as I know. I have yet to kill one that didn't drop a colorless soul though. The large sword of searching may help by increasing the chances that an enemy drops an item.
