'Your Mom Hates Dead Space 2' campaign uncovered

Jan 16th 2011 2:13PM (Joystiq)
@FriedConsole I'm 22 and my mother has no idea what I play, as I no longer live with her. I enjoyed this ad, and not because of some juvenile idea of sticking it to the parents.

I think this ad's appeal has more to do with a kind of cliquey feeling; you see these "outsiders" commenting on something you like, and you feel a sort of superiority because you and a group you are part of (in this case, "gamers") understand it, while everyone else has misconceptions. It is kind of an "in joke".

@mcchea Got clothes...lots and lots of clothes. Not that that wasn't what I wanted, mind you.
And an out of print book from half a world away that has yet to arrive.

Impulse is just the distribution platform.
That's like asking if you could play the Direct2Drive version you bought against the guy who bought his at Wal-Mart (THIS GUY).

EDI, seriously, how can you people not love her. Not only is she voiced by the awesome Tricia Helfer, but her interactions with Joker were the only reason I went to that part of the ship.

EA confesses to bad ideas in first Army of Two

@ScottishPrik
So, by that logic, HAWX was also amoral, as the player was a PMC, who eventually stopped the company from attacking the USA, and prevented the loss of millions of innocent lives.

Did you even pay attention to the story? It was like a knock-off of a Tom Clancy book.
Still and all, the game was fun. I very much enjoyed pimping each and every weapon. GOOOOOOOLLLDD!

I had the unfortunate experience of playing with the AI the first go-round. I got downed, and the idiot dragged me around the whole battlefield before stopping to heal me, which was of course too late.

I must say I whole-heartedly approve of the first game, including (and not despite) the bromance, pimped guns, and general bro feeling.
