Popcorn Dragon trailer pops up, looks delicious
Oct 13th 2011 6:06PM (Joystiq)PopCap Games firing up Popcorn Dragon this winter for iOS
Oct 12th 2011 6:00PM (Joystiq)Battlefield 3 brings down the house with 'Destruction' trailer
Oct 12th 2011 5:49PM (Joystiq)Seriously. The whole thing looked like a COD trailer, too. To top it off, they used the Terminator drum thing at the end of the video just like they do in COD. DICE now believe all gamers who enjoy tactical shooters are brain dead idiots who drool over explosions followed by one-note musical scores.
The original Battlefield series had beautiful orchestrated music and was an actual team based game, even to the point where you could have a commander in BF2 overseeing all of the individual squad activity. For anyone saying the final BF3 experience will be great because it's close to BFBC2 has got it all wrong. I was fully expecting BF3 to remaster what was so great about BF2 and BF: 1942. Instead we get a clone of BFBC2 with jets and more bloom effects.
Why Halo 4's Warthog can be seen but not driven in Forza 4
Sep 23rd 2011 6:29PM (Joystiq)$10 says they do release the Warthog in two years in a DLC car pack to try to maintain the game's relevance in the market. Or that it comes as a promo code when they refresh Halo 2, which is inevitable.

Sep 9th 2011 9:25PM (Joystiq)Origin nets 4 million client installs, adding third-party content 'very soon'
Sep 9th 2011 9:16PM (Joystiq)I am not a fanboy, but I am a fan of Valve (and therefore Steam) for now while they still price games at $49.99 and continue to be diligent with game patches that not only fix bugs, but sometimes add new features. The profit margins of EA and Activision are getting larger and larger. We get less game for more money. Then they try to sell us DLC to make up for it, which just costs us more money. Until this practice stops, I will continue to consider Valve/Steam as a superior company who cares about their products and community.
You won't find the 'Feminist Wh*re' skill in the final version of Dead Island
Sep 9th 2011 8:42PM (Joystiq)Hell, if a game was in the news for being "misogynist" (which this is hardly even that), I think it would attract even more curious gamers to check it out. All of the girls I know that game wouldn't care at all if this showed up in the final release. They would laugh and move on. But this isn't even in the final release so it's not a big deal.
The only thing that even upset me about the whole story was the fact that the publisher is trying to throw the developer under the bus for a single line of code instead of taking the blame. Plus this story just makes it sound like there is a community of feminists with nothing better to do than cry "let's take action!" at video games.
Todd Howard on Skyrim's worthwhile glitches, MMOs and when big is big enough
Sep 3rd 2011 4:06AM (Joystiq)Releasing a game that includes glitches without first properly testing for them is unacceptable. Instead of fixing the glitches prior to release with money that should have gone to beta testing, this money is going to DLC content instead. DLC content that is being made BEFORE the game is released. I appreciate you recognizing my eloquence, but I stated all of this in my OP.
