Because Apple can't control of what category(s) the apps in their own store show up in the only recourse is to ban the "stupid" ones? That is a weak argument. The author even admits there are better ways ways of handling the problem. He also shoots down his own "best buy" analogy.

While I enjoy 99% of TUAW articles, this one has been rather disappointing.
