My first playthrough was about eight hours or so. I'm on my second one now, so that should answer your other question. :)

You'll have to forgive my typo. I myself am so excited I subconsciously want the game to have been released three weeks ago. :)

Embargo breaking? One has to have agreed to an embargo in order to "break" it. We've done as promised and covered news out of CAPTIVATE 09 as it broke. Those who attended the event were obligated to bite their tongues and wait until the time dictated by the document they'd signed to run the news.

D'oh, Joe! Now I guess you know what I wish they'd really done during the demo. :)

I can say with 100% confidence that the "New Joystiq Experience" is lightning-fast. We've primarily made what I consider to be some pretty impressive enhancements to the look & feel and how content is organized, but it's still a gaming *blog*. I've seen (and been part of) my share of gaming site relaunches that were feature-laden or gimmicky for the sake of looking new -- the new Joystiq is nothing like that. It's lean, mean, and clean. You'll see in just a couple of days. :)

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to find that!

And to think Burnout Paradise will be a PS3 Greatest Hits title soon. Bonus!

Oh, I saw the video. It can't be unseen. You can actually yell anything you want -- I used "Snausages!" or just blew on the mic. There were a bunch of goons around me yelling "Star Power!" *very* loudly, and it got old fast. Pressing buttons to deploy it is iffy, so, if anything, I'd use the stylus to touch the Star Power gauge.

I just found out I'm writing here myself! (Seriously, though, it's my ... third week?)
