Fake Pokemon Yellow ends up on iOS App Store

@Icculus

Because one of the big things about Apple is that they condone piracy so long as it gets them money.

It's like Steve always said; "Why be in the Navy, when you can be a Pirate?"

@Once known as Shadsy

Jeb's first and only update was 4 months into his taking over the project. He added renewed wool onto sheep.

Man. That guy sure is good with his updates, I'm so excited to possibly see new content in five years.

@troxnor

That's the complete opposite of my argument. I don't buy Star Wars Lego, because I bought the Star Wars Lego Games.

Okay. If World of Warcraft came out with World of Warcraft Lego, would you buy it? No? Then I rest my case.

So I can pay more money, to a multi-million dollar company that barely has more than ten employees, and abandoned the game I paid them for, to get something that I've already paid them for, but in LEGO form.

This makes absolutely NO sense to me, but I just know they're going to become a multi-billion dollar company just off this kind of marketing.

I'm sorry, but if I released a new game, and it was full of bugs, I'd be ridiculed for it. But if I'm Bethesda, it's cool and acceptable?

@James816

They took the name of Defense of the Ancients, and own it for themselves; but they did not take DotA.

Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot that the Giant launch bug was SO esoteric that it was only possible to find by fighting a giant and being killed by them, when they almost always one-shot you.

Wait, that's like... Super easy to do and recreate.

Best QA team in the world, this game deserved the free pass it got from reviewers, amirite?

I'm sorry, how is making a game with improper QA testing and riddled with bugs an outstanding achievement in game direction? I'd think that making games and ignoring such bugs as giants throwing you in the air because it's "Fun", would be a step backwards.

@Zdark

It's mostly the attitude that "Your mod was on OUR platform, therefore we own the name you put on your mod". Which is honestly extremely silly.

It's interesting, because Valve can't even use the actual name of DOTA, Defense of the Ancients, because the rights belong to... Pendragon? I think Pendragon. The guy who said that it's not right for anyone to own the rights to the name Defense of the Ancients, and as such was going to take the rights for himself, to keep people from having the rights to it.

Now they might not even be allowed to have the rights to the title DOTA just because DOTA was a mod on a Blizzard game? Man, it must be nice to be able to claim that you own full rights to all the mods that have been created for your game.
