I like to think the 360 fans are here for the same reason I'm here. They want their console (the machine they paid money for) to succeed (or not come in last and lose support so early in life like the XBox1/Dreamcast/Jaguar/etc.) Most people, Schadenfreude'ing(?) or not, don't want to see the console they bought finish last. I only wish I was getting paid to dig up facts when other's post rumors. I just want my gaming experience to be the best it can. I could care less if the games go multi-platform (that actually helps everyone feel included) Exclusive content makes people feel left out and I feel it's probably the main match that starts most flame wars.

Just give me my PS3, my upgraded hard drive, it's media potential, physics enhancements, motion sensing and all the games that the other guy's have and I'll be happy. I never liked "rumble" so I could care less about that. My decision was based on the hardware and the feature set. Not the name. I even bought the 20G for three reasons. I don't have any memory sticks or a digital camera (if you can believe it), I wanted to upgrade the drive (so why pay extra for one I was going to replace) and my router sits in my living room within range of the PS3. I don't need exclusives to make my day, just content. I'd hate to see the PS3 come in last place and developers jump ship. I just plead to the developers to develop on all three if possible. Have the user decide what they want to buy on features of the system. I happen to like graphics, physics and motion sensing so the PS3 was a perfect fit without having the need for two systems, more controllers laying around and more cables off the back of my TV. If the console all fair the same, we'll see Sony/MS/Nintendo try to snatch exclusives to try to grab sales then the wars will begin. Can't we all just get along here?

Lol, It was 23 today...typical Ohio weather. They will only cancel school around here if the buses can't get through or there is tremendously slick ice on the roads. (At least that's how my school was...)

@thinknexttime: The PS Store has dowloadable content... There was content added for several of the games including cars, tracks, maps, levels, etc... You can download Movies and TV Shows (there are currently none on there, but it CAN be done). Multitasking is coming (as with the 360 adding it later after launch).

The rest of that stuff is easily patchable, so it's not all that and a bag of roses.

From my understanding, Microsoft servers only handle the gamertags and rankings. Places like EA still have to have server farms for XBox Live. Again, I think I read that somewhere and without further research I can't verify. I just don't care enough to check.

Windows won't run on the PowerPC processors. So it's not happening any time soon. This also means it's not going on the 360 any time soon either since it runs a PowerPC based processor as well.

EH: Have you ever hear of remakes? They take the game mechanics, upgrade the graphics, sounds, levels, etc. and release a new version of it. There are tons of those old games that are fun as hell, but they lack the visual stamina to keep people interested today. Thus, the remake.

He has a point about the 360 sales. If your selling well, your not going to be discounting and bundling yet. I heard a commercial on the radio stating that you can get free XBox360s buy going to some website. I'm sure there's some agreement and guidelines to it. I wasn't interested enough to follow through.

Well, I don't know if it matters or not, but you know that warning when you do a backup stating that copy-protected files may not be recovered? That includes save games. Some retard at EA figured it would be a good idea to copy-protect the Need For Speed:Carbon saves so you can't copy them to a USB drive for backup and needless to say I'm working up the ambition to redo all those races (I was one race from career completion waiting to finish that one race for all gold challenges and my Rhino unlock..grr!)

Anyone out there that has NFS:Carbon (the only game I've seen do this) make sure your done playing it before you reformat! Stupid EA.

More on topic though...I think if you do find supply (I haven't seen another one in this area recently) it's probably a combination of your theory and the fact that Sony is shipping TONS of them to the US in what I would consider to be a groundbreaking achievement as far as production of high end electronic equipment is concerned. (Notice how I noted "high end production" so the Wiitards can't come back on me... oh, here they come...)

I know it sounds corny, but I'd love to get online and coop my way through Gauntlet II again!

You forgot to close a tag or something...and yes! I did notice the outer shell was semi transparent. Made me want to add in all kinds of LEDs and stuff :P
