again, for those of you that dont get it, they develop a game ...levels and characters and plot and everything , creating it all...then based on how much time they put into the game ( and money) they make the content of the game for the MSRP. It doesnt matter if they made 100 maps before the release the game and the game comes out with 20, the other 80 were too much time invested for the cost, so they become DLC. its a cost analysis thing, not a gimmie all your money thing...that is what EA and others are doing with the "online pass" to play if you buy the game used. that is greed, this is making your money back to KEEP MAKING BAD ASS GAMES LIKE GEARS3!!!!

you arent paying for DLC 2 times, reject...you are paying for it once. they make the cost on what they have into the game in its base form, that is the game sale price. they price the extra content accordingly and sell it to you as DLC. just because its on there doesnt mean its yours for free. you should read up on profit margins.

Electronic Arts wants to start charging gamers $10-$20 to play online and access additional content if they buy a used copy of one of their games, under the excuse that they need to maintain their servers, and they cant make the money to do that if you buy the game used. The lie here is that there is no extra strain on the servers as there is still only ONE person playing that ONE copy of the game. It is no more of a strain on the servers for a person playing a used copy of a game as an original owner still playing their newly purchased game online. It's still 2 copies of the game with 2 players.

This is a clear example of corporate greed that has the potential to create a domino effect throughout the gaming industry, leading more and more game makers to follow suit. Leaving the customers/gamers to pay more and get less.

TELL EA GAMES THAT YOU WILL BOYCOTT TITLES THAT INCLUDE THIS FEATURE.

no, you can call them and be angry about it but polite. you get all the bonus stuff(guns and gift card) plus shipping back and an additional $15 amazon card. this only applies if you got the release day shipping.,

AMAZON screwed up the preorder bonuses , THEY DIDN'T SEND THEM. they are giving a $15 amazon gift card in exchange and a refund of shipping.

i am thinking about doing the same thing really, and the samething with EA and the online pass charge to play online if you buy games used...I wont buy those games at all. not giving it to the corporate greed.
