Sony America abandons UMD-to-PSP Go "good will" program, offers 225 games at full retail price instead

Sony really have shot themselves in the foot here! Sure, a PSP Go may work for newcomers to the console, but anyone who had a normal PSP won't upgrade to it if they can't carry their games over.

I believe Sony did have the right idea, but they should have launched it with the PSP2, NOT another iteration of the current PSP platform.

Is a) this still there and b) Does it work on Windows. I'm looking at getting a new iPhone later in the year, but it MUST be able to be tethered for me to even consider the phone as its a must-have for me.

+1 on that. I had never played a FF game before, but the wife was really into them. Its not standard FF fair, but as a game Crisis Core is superb. I've already completed it once and am now going back through, with a guide in hand so I can complete it 100%. IMO, probably the best PSP game out there.

Actually for watching movies whilst in flight, that would be very useful, otherwise you have to rest the unit on your hands to get the right angle. Good idea, even if its of rather limited use

LOL, there's a good reason for no new architecture = software support. It would need OS support and that basically means windows. Hell, took them long enough to support a 64 bit version of the x86 and the last support another architecture had was Alpha and NT4!
