what is with the cheap shot for the ps3? i own a roku, a ps3, an xbox and a new bravia, the ps3 does it best, its the smoothest and highest quality stream of them all... engadget consistently makes incorrect dumb fanboy statements these days, maybe its time to find a new site to read, this is just the dumbest thing i've read all day "nd let us be the first to point and laugh insensitively at PS3 owners who have use a "DVD" to get Netflix working on their Cell-powered supermachines." seriously...go jerk your xbox off, i, personally, will be selling mine as it's totally worthless now.. using a disc is not only not a big deal, its temporary...grow up
lol nail in the ps3 coffin? the ps3 just had its best month ever, and outsold both the wii and 360 and i'll be willing to bet you anything you want that those numbers will hold steady. the 360 is redundant already, developers no longer like it, and it faces extreme limitations compared to the ps3, sony was right, they're going to win this battle in the long run from here on out.
@ill trooper sorry, but even with having to use a disc, this is better on the ps3 than my 360, i can now sell my 360 as i was only using it to stream netflix anyway, and the FREE part is due to the fact that you don't have to use a crappy xbox live subscription to use it.
joystiq may want to get their internet connection in order, the ps3 buffer goes incredibly faster than either my 360 or my roku, this isn't the ps3 slowing you down here, its your internet connection...
lol @ "safari cheats' i don't care if it summons lucifer to help render a page, if it displays content faster, it displays content faster, this isn't a game for merit, its a game for speed. skyfire beats the shit out of safari, period.
i sold my iphone for a blackberry, i'd rather have NO browser at all than use an iphone again, who is 3 years behind? apple haven't updated their OS with anything new in 3 devices now...what's new? MMS? luls...sorry buddy, at least blackberry users have the option to use 3rd party browsers, and will get flash also...unlike iphone users... add that to the list of things every phone has but the iphone doesn't... list is growing
i have a ps3 and haven't had any freezing issues, but as for all these people coming in here trying to wage a ps3 vs. 360 war, show me a game on both consoles where the 360 version runs better or looks better, and show me how your 360 is even a better price deal, considering all your games are on regular dvd discs, you can't watch hd movies, oh well you can but hd dvd is dead, you pay for online services, and pretty soon your games will have to be on multiple discs because some systems don't have hd's and regular dvd's just don't cut it, fuck your 360, i sold mine for a ps3.
