First Look: Rooney Mara as the New Lisbeth Salander
Sep 7th 2010 3:54PM (Cinematical)I'm going out on a limb in thinking that it ends with a BANG and not a fizzle and that is what has folks hooked.
Please correct me if I am wrong. I have to believe all the people I see reading the book and all the critics and all the folks loving the movies have to be RIGHT! Right?

Nov 25th 2009 8:07PM (Cinematical)GDC09: Rhianna Pratchett says games should forget about making people cry
Mar 27th 2009 7:07PM (Joystiq)How many games have you really emotionally connected with EVER? How many games have you smiled at? how many have you laughed at? Put it in perspective and realize smiling and laughing is alot easier then a serious adult story. Story telling and moving images fit but hollywood is still the template unfortunatly.....or fortunatly, just look to your local theatre for examples of films you emotionally connect with, smile ator laugh with.
So yeah she is full of crap...probably reverse psychology for up and coming game writers who are trying to get stories that resonate in games.
UPDATE: First 'Where the Wild Things Are' Trailer!
Mar 26th 2009 2:30PM (Cinematical)'Dark Knight' Director's Brother Wanted for Murder?
Mar 20th 2009 4:18PM (Cinematical)Here is another for you NOW THIS IS IN BAD TASTE!!!!!
"What did the other guy do?"
but thats after considering the "MADEOFF" situation and if the victims of that Ponsi scam had the opportunity to get there funds back what would THEY do.
By the way, Cinematical is great cause they are honest even when you disagree with there comments. Although way to much coverage on WATCHMEN....and I LOVED that flick LOL!!!
Will Budget-Busting 'Avatar' Make or Break 3-D?
Mar 20th 2009 2:30PM (Cinematical)I have been itching to see a movie in 3-D that would engage me with the story in the fore ground while hinting at the deeper mystery in the back ground. Kind of a Whodunit? where all the clues are in each frame and you HAVE to pay attention to the scenery. That would be pretty cool.
What is not so cool is watching a film like Watchmen and seeing Dr. Manhattan in all his 3-D glory! Goes back to another post a few months back concerning full frontal and how most folks were uncomfortable. LOL!
Done right 3-D can be revolutionary.
'Where the Wild Things Are' Gets a Poster and a Trailer Update

Did 'Watchmen' Fail? And Why?
Mar 16th 2009 4:20PM (Cinematical)any whoooooo
Watchmen is an ANTI SUPER HERO MOVIE! That is why people don't get it. ITS THE ANTI POPCORN MOVIE! ANTI DRAMA!
Takes the entire idea of entertainment and makes you pay attention whether its to the violence, or sexuality, or the insanity. Wraps up A movie that should be one thing in a cloak of a different color so that when what is revealed under that cloak is so different that it leaves the mind wondering WTF?!
So top understand it the book is flying off the shelves and people are reading it and are opening there eyes and to quote Neo the one Keanu, they all say "whoa".
So it begs a second view!
As a matter of fact I enjoyed it even more the second time around. By the way I took three nay sayers with me and they all had mixed feelings about it. All enjoyed but 2 of them were pissed that the............ in the end and that ....................... so they were emotionally invested in some characters.
It is a success. But takes the idea of cinema and movies and slightly alters it.....hey just like pulp fiction....
