Mass Effect 3 'Extended Cut' DLC free this summer, offers 'further clarity to the ending'

Apr 5th 2012 10:36AM (Joystiq)
I'm a bit disappointed that they caved in to fan pressure. Not the fact that they're making something to compliment the ending, but that fact they're making it free. A lot of devs make games as a passion, but it's still a job and puts bread on the table. Plus being the internet's most complaining, self entitled arsehole doesn't entitle you to free things.

Gearbox boss says impressive Wii U 'a really nice bridge' to the next generation

@The Aquacharger
There's no doubt companies like Crytek will do something amazing with the hardware, there's just too many testimonies of the hardware to make any solid assumption as to how powerful it actually is. Calling it a "bridge" console is, so far, a vauge term to use, as we don't know what the other side of this bridge is going to look like.

And that there is just the known titles before E3 swings by. Better stock up on peanut butter and bread.

Gearbox boss says impressive Wii U 'a really nice bridge' to the next generation

Apr 4th 2012 2:34PM (Joystiq)
I like Gearbox's praises over the console, but I'm absolutely clueless over the power. Gearbox says it's more powerful than 360/PS3, Darksiders devs say it's just as powerful, and some unnamed devs say it's less powerful.

I'm not really sure how the Wii U constitutes as a "bridge" console, with everything we know (basically next to nothing).

Kinect Star Wars review: Needs Force feedback

Well, now that they're done pushing this out, maybe they'll start on something longtime Star Wars fans actually want.

Notch's new game is '0x10c'

Apr 4th 2012 11:24AM (Joystiq)
We're all being super skeptical (especially about holding on to all our 10 dollars or whatever the monthly charge is), but it'll be all about presentation once he puts out a playable build.

Put your right hand in, put your right hand out, do the Steel Battalion

Apr 3rd 2012 7:18PM (Joystiq)
And here I was thinking about trading in my Kinect at Gamestop for like $20 or something. Not everything can be done with the traditional buttons and the Kinect as a lone control method is complete shit.

It's just like when driving a stick shift and you need to take one hand off the wheel to change gears. I bet it's much more fluid in action.

Report: Capcom sees 'no distinction' between on-disc and off-disc DLC

Apr 3rd 2012 6:32PM (Joystiq)
I'm taking a different approach. I'll buy the game if I sincerely want it, but I will never pay for their DLC. They will never know how it works, so there is no point in avoiding the games entirely.

I'm not hurting over not being able to play as Pac Man or the Mega Man we never wanted.

You're much better off waiting a few months.
