@Meldrich They just re-named their version of Gamebryo to Creation. I'm hoping the improvements they've made to Gamebryo actually warrant a name change though and they didn't do it simply for public relations reasons.
It almost looks like it does when I run the game on my PC, through emulation of course. If they had increased the complexity of the models and the resolution of the textures then this would be worth it after the price drops. $40 is too much for a re-release even when you include both of these games.
This is good for those who can't emulate PS2 games and/or have yet to play these games.
As for the inevitable "Video Games as an Art Form" topic; anything can be art if you want it to be. This of course means that video games both are and are not art.
"And anyone with hopes of anything resembling a feel-good ending should probably check that at the door on the way in."
I currently foresee their endings as two main branches:
1.) You manage to protect or save Clementine and the people you possibly will meet but you die in the process.
2.) You abandon your group to death so you can save yourself.
I hope this does not mean there is no good ending at all. Please always include a good end with your bad ends. Just require it to be more challenging to achieve or enable it for later play-throughs. The entire point of dark or bleak settings in interactive fiction is to shine some light into the darkness.
I'll only have an interest in what these guys release if absolutely no changes are made to the games they release, the translation is above average for games "translated" for western audiences, and an option to enable the original voices & text.
