The fact that the dlc is so extensive and hit day 1 (like i said) shows it was always designed well in advance. See you may claim people are so "dense" that they forget that a game's been complete weeks before hitting retail, which is true. But it's also true that the dlc you're playing was completed completed weeks before it was sent in for market place/psn approval.

The dlc that came with ME2 was clearly aways designed as part of the story throughout ME2's development.

Ofcourse without the "ten dollar" scheme EA could well turn round and start charging for the dlc a week after the full games release (like most publishers do these days)... or without the scheme we could of had that content on the disc day 1.. who knows, you don't.

Either way, it's not the fact that we're actually getting it that i resent...it's the fact that we're getting it sold to us under the illusion of extra "free" content, and alot of kids will end up praising EA for being so "kind" to them

The reality is that we're simply getting what was already on the disc..in a more complicated harddrive consuming way. This whole scheme is designed in aim of one thing only - to get us to buy new. Which it will do an effective job at. But, to tell us we're getting more content for free because of the "ten dollar" is insulting...especially when that content is day1, and so extensive...we're not talking a new costume, we're talking new fleshed out character (me2), and full map packs (bc2)...things that were obviously designed to be in part of the main package.

If its kept free then they best bring it to the UK.. its a joke at just how much MS denie us, yet charge us twice that that they set the american RRP at. Netflix i can understand as theres licencing problems.. but even things like IGN insider get denied to the UK..theres little reason for that other than MS couldnt give a shit about any nation outside America, and stupidly Japan.

And give us a damn regional filter already.. i'm tied of having all my games host dominated by america and having the lack of UK community and poor connections because of that.

Its no wonder this site makes such a big deal of Batman selling well on blueray.. ps3 owners have to buy something..and it sure as hell isnt games apparently.

the fact that people keep asking for a price cut should tell them something. The 360 is out selling the ps3 pretty much everywhere these days with its new price cut. And we all know exclusives is what sells one console from the other... Gears of War 2, regardless of what you think of the game, is going to sell, and shift consoles. Little Big planet will do the same.. but nowhere near as many consoles on the back of it cause of sonys price for the ps3 in the uk...which accounts to $600 for a 40gig console.
I personally think they're stupid for not bringing a price cut in time for christmas and alongside the strength of LBP..Its the casual gaming market that both microsoft and sony want to get..and the states show that most people who own a wii now own a 360 too.. because its the cheapest option (priced below the wii now) to get into HD gaming.

Also..if they cant deliver RB2 cheaper then they should make it region free so we have the choice to import. You could of saved £80 right there by importing the ps3 version if you owned sonys console.
