I just want to point out that video game publishers make their money from the amount the stores buys from them and not directly if we actually buy them or not. If the customers at the store demand for more of their product the more the store will buy from the publisher. Being "sold" to a customer doesnt really effect how sucessful a game is finacially. Being "shipped" reflects that more. When we see 1 miilion copies shipped, it is meant that 1 million copies were bought by the store and that is a win for konami financially (esp if stores buys the game for about $30 US a copy and sells it to us for $60 US - that's $30 million US if 1 mill got shipped), but it doesnt mean the game is good or not and that 1 million people have a copy. It just means it had good marketing and stores will want to support any product that has a lot of hype.
