Also, you can select your language. I believe the US game supports English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. So multiply 22,000+ by four. I haven't tried other languages while playing in English, yet.

I picked it up today. Played through the first "town". I think it'll be a great game to play with kids 6-10ish. Young enough that their spelling and reading isn't so hot, but old enough that they can THINK. My daughter is almost 6 and I suspect in a few months she'll be mature enough to play it with me. I'm sure most of her solutions will involve princesses and puppies.

I agree that the controls can be wonky. But as a lefty I appreciate that the letter buttons can be used to control the camera.

There are definitely patterns developing already. Need something to fly with. Need something to go underwater with. Need something to melt ice with.

It is a very fun "toy". Not sure how much staying power it'll have. Will it still be fun to equip vampires with machine guns and pit them against baseball bat wielding nuns in a month?

I'm looking forward to getting the disc only version and playing with my GHWT and GHIII guitars and mic. (A friend of mine has the drum kit from the GHWT package we split; he already had 2 GHIII guitars and a mic from some other game.)

I'm going to wait and see how the DLC _really_ shakes out, though. I'm still mad about not getting track packs on GHWT. I'm not sure who to be mad at, though: Activision, Nintendo, or the copyright holders. Hopefully, that situation will get fixed soon.

I think we're seeing GH and RB become music distribution platforms just like the CD, radio, or iTunes. Now that we have the basic instruments done, it's just a matter of churning out songs. Those can be packaged - like GH:Aerosmith, AC/DC, & Metallica - in band themed games or just as DLC.

No one calls CDs shovelware, although they do complain about bad music that gets published. I see GH and RB in the same light.

Hopefully some real musicians will be attracted by the song creator and generate some good content.
