What a bad week.

Thank GOD! My wife was about to leave me for whomever had Food Network. I had no options other than Dish/DirecTV and I didn't want to have to run new cables in my home.

Well I'm glad I didn't buy into the hype of the last TE arcade stick like many others did. Those were selling for like $400 on e-bay because they were backlogged or supposedly not making them anymore. I then recently saw it on sale on Amazon for like $79.

That was the same shit people were saying when HDTV's came to the market... "No ones going to throw their CRT tv's out of the window now that 16:9 HDTV's are here".
HD is basically the norm now, so the entertainment industry needs the next best thing to continue growing the business. If you can tell by the success of Avatar, and all the movies released in 2009, and coming up in 2010 that are being made with 3D in mind, then it should be apparent that this is just not an overnight gimmick. There are many companies and industries on-board with this (studios, CE manufatureres, satellite TV, gaming, etc.) so with all that is being invested, and the marketing that will follow suit, you can bet this will take off in the next 1-3 years.

I wonder if this gets itclose to an ISF calibration...

I love that studios are catching on to this. I much prefer having 3 or 4 discs than having a dual flipside disc like universal is pushing. They are investing too much time and effort into that, when all they need to do is toss in an extra disc.

Uhhh shop Amazon. I have yet to pay over $20 for a new release, many of which included the DVD and digital copy.

How is it too soon after HD? Anyhow, the timing seems fine. They are not targeting the mass market.
