CNN's Rick Sanchez Freaks Out During Earthquake Coverage

Mar 1st 2010 1:53PM (AOL TV)
You call that a "freak out?" He got a little excited, maybe.

GSN needs more Let's Make A Deal, less Millionaire

Mar 9th 2009 1:26PM (AOL TV)
I couldn't agree more. I used to love Gameshow Network around 10 years ago. $25,000 Pyramid! $10,000 Pyramid! Bob Barker with dark hair! GSN's original shows have worse production values than the classic shows did. You're right. More classic game shows!

Should the length of a season be cut?

Jan 31st 2009 3:12PM (AOL TV)
Absolutely. I've often that the quality of the shows would go way up, too. The quality shows that have been on cable such as The Shield, Mad Men, and Battlestar Galactica have always had short seasons. If you put all of your energy into 13 episodes per year rather than 22, then of course those 13 are going to be outstanding.

Five shows I've been watching again lately

Jan 22nd 2009 11:32AM (AOL TV)
I'm sorry, but is this a satirical piece? The part about Home Improvement being a good show made me laugh, but the rest of the article...made me unsure.

Why is Letterman always picking on Singletary?

Jan 16th 2009 4:35PM (AOL TV)
Late Show writer Bill Sheft was on the Bob and Tom radio show recently. He said that the guy doing Singletary is actually a receptionist on the Late Show staff. Dave thought the guy looks like Singletary, and thinks it's funny. So the writers came up with the bit and it continues because Dave likes it so much.

In fact, in early versions of the bit, Sheft will yell out the lines to the stand-in because he was so bad at reading cue cards. I think now Sheft feeds him lines via an earpiece.

President Bush wants fifteen more minutes

Jan 13th 2009 11:40AM (AOL TV)
Maybe it's different where you live, but generally CW stations don't air live news events like this. So, I think Smallville will be unaffected. I'm sure that Bush will be on ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, PBS and the cable new outlets.

American Idol's new judge, Kara DioGuardi, loves everyone

Jan 13th 2009 11:15AM (AOL TV)
Ah. I see you fixed that. The rest of the article is good, though. I hope she'll force the judges to step it up a bit. I swear Randy has about 3 comments that he uses over and over again. Whatever those judges are being paid, it's too much.

Oh, and how long will it be before Paula shows up under the influence?

American Idol's new judge, Kara DioGuardi, loves everyone

Wait. You wrote that the premiere is a few days away? Doesn't it start tonight?

TV 101: Why Leo Laporte represents the future of TV (kinda) - VIDEO

Jan 7th 2009 2:17PM (AOL TV)
Leo's got a better grasp on merging old media with new media than anybody I've ever heard.

That being said, the bottom line here is that he has TALENT. He knows how to create compelling content. That sort of skill will work on any medium.

South Park is officially not cool, thanks to my dad

Dec 1st 2008 12:13PM (AOL TV)
People still consider South Park cool? Sorry. I didn't realize this was still 2002.
