I have been waiting for a punch out game since my SNES days so this is wonderful news (if true!). Wii sports didn't give me the same satisfaction as the original Punch Out did, so I'm hoping this will.
I remember when I was young, going to the libraries were fun for getting and reading a bunch of books in a quiet atmosphere. I went again to my local public library two years ago to find out they had all my tv shows as well on dvd (for free!). Now that they're beginning to do games, who will read the books???
Now I love video games as much as the next person here and enjoy the gradual U.S. social acceptance towards them as legit 'art' or entertainment, but with this, I fear the future of the children when they do go to a library and face the choice between a video game and movie section vs. books.
Wow Square Enix is non-stop putting out fantastic games on the DS. I hope "newly revamped" means more than just a new dungeon though - chalk up another game I must get this holiday.
Yeah, I can't view the leaked screens. Wouldn't it make more sense to have more (time consuming) quests? Achievements for random things in mmo's seem more like a lame attempt to keep people playing. I don't think it will work like the 360.
It's good to see politicians that admit to playing games - most of them that complain about it rarely ever touch them. I would be more surprised if the game mentioned was not WoW...
I played the DS version for the longest time to pass time - a great concept and great gameplay. I wouldn't say the threats were the result of a low quality product, more of the result that people see so much potential, and then feel let down on various design decisions (like the level 50 cap) or untested bugs that limits the fun the game can potentially offer.
