Motorola MILESTONE does what DROIDon't

Nov 2nd 2009 8:36PM (Engadget)
But does either have Blast Processing, Tony Montana or Michael Jackson's Moonwalker?

Genesis does what DROIDon't.

Ask Engadget HD: What's the best large LCD (42-inches and up) for the buck?

Apr 8th 2009 2:39PM (Engadget HD)
I too have 46 inch 650 series. Certainly a beautiful set to say the least. I was lucky enough to pick it up for a 'healthy' discount on Boxing Day (the big shopping day in Canada after Christmas) and have been nothing less than impressed with it since day one. Much better than my old Panasonic 34 inch 1080i tube...

I'd show it off to my parents as a form of distraction to assist me in moving out.

That is almost as ugly as my brother.

How would you change Apple's Time Capsule?

Mar 28th 2008 7:45PM (Engadget)
I was helping a friend set up his Time Machine 500GB this past weekend and it was not an easy task at all. His broadband modem also doubles as a wi-fi router, and it took a number of resets and configurations to get it working properly. Plus, we backed up over Ethernet and it took something around 6 hours to do 45GB! Tsk tsk. So I would suggest an improvement of the device firmware to avoid the "blinking amber light of doom" and speed improvements for writing to the disk. Ridiculous I say!

ECTACO's jetBook reader will purportedly change your life

Mar 24th 2008 12:13PM (Engadget)
Any tech company that has "taco" in its name isn't likely to get very far selling something that...well...doesn't have anything to do with tacos. Unless of course they gave you an eBook recipe on how to make a taco...

Guitar Hero: Beatles Edition a possibility

Mar 18th 2008 11:00AM (Joystiq)
As someone who was spoon-fed Beatles' music as I was growing up (and still likes it), I am strongly apposed to this idea. Not only has the Guitar Hero machine started to show its rust, but capitalizing (and likely destroying through craptacular covers) on The Beatles' music for the means of people to "shred" away at their guitars semi-consciously does not sound like a good idea in my books. Rock Band would be a better option, but given how some cover songs over the years have brought nothing but disgrace to their music, I feel this is an idea that Paul and Ringo should slap down with their gold-encrusted fly swatter.

Future Shop offers trade-in credit for HD DVD players, will donate old decks to charity

Mar 7th 2008 10:49AM (Engadget)
This is almost too true. Once we were buying a surround sound receiver from Future Shop and we strategically grabbed the box and nearly jolted for the front registers to avoid the sales people - it turns out that one of their reps saw doing this and once we got to the front cash, this dude HURDLES over the counter and says "I'll take it from here". Stunned by his brash behaviour, we proceeded to return the product the next day. What a douche.

DVD Forum approves 51GB triple-layer HD DVD spec

Nov 15th 2007 10:10PM (Engadget)
I hate to question the mighty wisdom of Engadget, but shouldn't it read '17 GB' layers and not '15 GB' layers? Unless 15 x 3 is 51.

Fanswag: Win the ultimate Halo 3 setup

Sep 18th 2007 4:50PM (Joystiq Xbox)
The Master Chief once saved my brother from a pack of hyenas...too bad he never regained his sanity after such a horrific event.
