PS3 fans don't have jobs so they might as well camp outside a store overnight. iPhone customers might be fanatics, but most of them aren't dumb enough to sleep on the street for a cellphone. The lines will get crazy tomorrow, much to the chagrin of all the haters.
"My iMac has a keyboard that's there whether I need it or not"
But you don't have special iTunes or iPhoto buttons stuck on your keyboard and your keyboard isn't obscuring half of your screen.
You sacrifice some typing speed on the iPhone, but everything else is so much easier I could care less. Either way, text entry will be easier on the iPhone that it is on non-smartphones. I hate switching between T9 and ABC on my phone.
I for one am going to buy Wiis for my Mom and Dad. Dad's getting to old to play tennis for real but he would totally love tennis on the Wii and it will give him and his wife something to do. Plus, it'll make it easier for us to share pictures.
There are a lot of 30-something gamers out there that miss the old days of Nintendo and can afford to get one for their parents. My parents used to accuse me of spending too much time playing video games and I can't wait to turn the tables on them.
I have the smaller version of this, the YSP-800 which only has 23 little speakers. I FREAKIN' LOVE IT. When you set it up, it comes with a microphone that you attach to the front of it and place in your favorite seat, then you start the auto-setup process and get out of the way. You'll get goosebumps during this process as you hear sound bouncing off the walls -- it's sooo cool. It listens to the sounds it's making and adjusts the direction of each little speaker accordingly. My living room isn't perfect for it (my couch is right up against the back wall) but I didn't want to string wires all over the place so I got this. I highly recommend it.
