EEDAR: Blame low industry sales on casual gamers

Nov 14th 2009 9:19AM (Joystiq)
The easyest way to get the casual gamer to buy games is drop the price of games. @ 60 to 70 + dollars (CND) a game makes casual gamers think twice about spendng their hard earned money. A drop in prices would sell more games. I love gaming and I would buy more games if they were between 40 to 50 dollars.

Aug 17th 2009 6:33PM (Joystiq)
I have three all have been in for repair once. off the three repaired 360's one has failed again, it is now a parts 360. The customer care I got in my corner of the Canada was excellent. Eight day turn around for repairs, I mean replacement. That being said by my count the failure rate is 133%.

Pearl Jam's next album simultaneously arrives at retail, in Rock Band 2

Aug 3rd 2009 8:53AM (Joystiq)
Here is my problem with this. Perl Jam fights Ticket Master for over charging customers for concert tickets (way to high service charges $50 -$60 for printing tickets) Now Perl Jam is in the Rock Band / Guitar Hero DLC thing. My problem with these games quite simpley is. I buy RB 1 and I get this music and that music but to get the latest tune by band "B" I now need to go buy RB 2 and them to get the latest tune from band "C" I need to run out and buy RB 3. I will buy one of these games be it RB or GH when they make the game so that I can play all the DLC tunes available. Pearl Jam used to care about the fans and their pocket book now they just care about their pocket book. Screw RB & GH.

Silent Hill: Homecoming's Australian edits detailed

Jan 14th 2009 6:57PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Let me get this right. Adults in Australia don't play video games? The government there dosn't think parants can be trusted to control the games their kids play? Talk about censorship. Of coarse this is the same Government that took George Bushs word on Iraqs weapons of mass destruction.

EA loses $310 million, totally forgot where they put it

Nov 1st 2008 10:17AM (Joystiq Xbox)
Mybe video game makers should drop prices, they should know that with parents loosing jobs and houses means Bobby's parents cant buy as many video games when they can't afford a box of KD, Just wondering if the CEO's at EA still got their bonuses while they are laying of all those people. Layed off workers can't buy video games.
