Cingular umbrella girl was a guest on 24

Jun 14th 2006 8:39PM (AOL TV)
I am not sure, but I also saw her on another show. Perhaps The Shield, or Wanted. She was also a russian slave/prostitute. Guess she fits the role. It's a shame, because she is good looking, but with the right makeup and accent she looks like a Russian mail-order bride gone wrong.

Grey's Anatomy: jumping the shark?

May 29th 2006 6:48PM (AOL TV)
Actually the legacy is not from Arrested Development, it actually started with a episode of Happy Days back on the 70's.

TiVo, I'm breaking up with you

Jan 17th 2006 4:32PM (AOL TV)
If you ask specifically for a TIVO DVR DirecTV will send you a R10. They are still about $50 each (less than $100 I am sure before rebate). You can allways still get one from eBay also as a last resort.

Either way, if TIVO and DTV part ways, your TiVo DVR will still be able to receive the MPEG2 signal for a long as all the other DTV equipment is out there.

Remember, UltimateTV? (The DVR from Microsoft). It kicked the bucket years ago, yet still works with DirecTV, and DirecTV let's still use it.

Blocked ventilation holes on Xbox 360?

Nov 26th 2005 8:22PM (Joystiq Xbox)
To be perfectly frank, the heat problems the XBOX 360 has are a design flaw. If you take a look at the pictures of the inside of the console, the DVD drive is seated on top the whole GPU heatsink, and it inmediate besides the CPU heatsink. This obviously transfers a lot of heat to the DVD drive, I wonder how long it will be before the drive itself stats malfunctioning, as every knows heat is the number one cause for hardware damage. On the other hand, if you stand up your unit vertically, the DVD and hard drive is over the CPU and GPU. And besides the problems I mentioned earlier, everybody knows heat rises. If would have been a much better idea to have the DVD on the bottom, and the processor and GPU above it to avoid adding more heat to the equation. I mean, I know they had limited smate, but come on.... just play a couple of minutes and take out the DVD. I wonder how much time you have to play in order for one disc to crack because of heat issues.

Watercooler Talk: Anyone still watching Invasion?

Nov 19th 2005 7:23PM (AOL TV)
Peter, Alias is only moving to Wednesdays for two weeks starting December 7. I suspect Invasion will be on hiatus for that period. The winter finale of Alias runs on December 14, and next wednesday (December 21) Invasion is back again. I guess we will have to wait until January too see who stays on Wednesdays

eMac.com domain for sale on eBay

Jul 28th 2005 1:47PM (TUAW.com)
That's strange. If Apple had "eMac" as a registered trademark, I am sure they would have no problem disputing that domain, and it would only cost a couple of grand... (I believe the basic WIPO arbitration is $2,500). No need to invest 45 million. The WIPO could easily have that domain transferred to Apple if a claim of legal rights could be proven. (just my opinion)

By the same token, everybody that lives in the continent America, is an American. Just as the people on the other side of the pond are Europeans
