That saddens me about the online pass ~.~ I avoid those games on principle alone.... but I love Wipeout .......guess this will be a wait and see thing then.

Been burned as an early adopter one too many times, more than happy to give it a year or two and walk through the ashes of those who were burned before me to score a better price point/hardware revision (tho I still say the PSP-1000 was the best of the bunch, self ejecting UMD drive FTW)

Well probably two fold really,

Nothing would be worse than having the system out and having to wait days/weeks for the games to finally arrive.

And if you buy a game ahead of time because its available, they are insured at some point you will be buying a system.

I remember the PSP shortages shortly after it launched and I also remember walking into a store and picking up a copy of Wipeout, even tho I did not yet own a PSP. Any guesses on what I purchased a month later when they were restocked :P

In b4 they claim that the reason the game does poorly is all shouldered by piracy and used sales lol

Well I'm not so sure about Nintendo these days *points at shovelware for the Wii* its essentially all the same (terrible) re-skinned game ad nauseum ~.~

Sounds like XBLIG has its share of copycat games....
