Is it cool to like Microsoft again? Not yet?

I find it sad that Apple iPad news related to gaming is classified as "breaking", while news dedicated to a new gaming platform (and also linked to a major console) is buried. This is a far more interesting device that has a dedicated 3D processor to handle the workload.

But unlike Apple, Microsoft doesn't have blind incompetent fanboys blindly throwing their cash at the company. I for one hope that MS doesn't f**k this up, and that I'll be playing Forza Mobile on my Win7 phone at this time next year.

@kojo87 - Don't throw out your specs to be a jackass when they really aren't much better...

That's like having someone saying, "Can't wait to use my 3 inches!!"... and then you respond with "Psh whatever dude, I can't wait to use my 4 1/2 inches!!!"

And just for the record, I can't wait to play this game in its DX11 glory with my ATI 5870 and i5 quad core!

@StormEagle - Actually, if you take Napalm's calculation of a decent PC gaming rig for $650 against the true price of a console over a 3 year lifecycle, you might be shocked.

PS3 250GB + No Accessories: $349
PS3 Games: Buy 10 Games/year @ $60 a pop: $1800
Total cost w/games over 3/year lifecycle: $2149

PC + No Additional Accessories: $649
PC Games: Buy 10 Games/year @ $50 a pop: $1500
Total cost w/games over 3/year lifecycle: $2149

That of course is anticipating no hardware issues on either the PC or the PS3. If you add the Xbox 360, you have to account for the $50/year for online play, which is included with the PC and PS3 at no additional cost. The 360 is an expensive system to own.

So there - PC gaming isn't as expensive as everyone makes it out to be. If you want top dog components then yes you will pay for them, but it isn't necessary for the masses (you do have the option to upgrade individual components). A decent PC today will run circles around a current-gen console from a hardware perspective.

Ghostbusters PS3 patch is close to 720p, but no cigar

That actually makes perfect sense. My biggest gripe with the PS3 is the amount of jaggies - they're horribly visible on my 50" 1080p and take away from the game's immersion. I also own a 360 and don't notice the jaggies nearly as much on cross-platform games.

I suppose the lack of video RAM could be the issue for the devs not implementing AA? I've noticed this even with PS3 exclusives such as GT5:P and Killzone 2.

Sony debuts Gran Turismo 5 trailer

Not entirely true. iRacing (real motor sports simulator) for the PC also has the rights to make a NASCAR game. I don't think the license is exclusive anymore.
