And then there were two: Warhammer Online merges servers once more

While it is sad to see any MMO on the way out, remember when everyone said this was going to kill WoW?

The Emperor is stuck in a queue? BioWare shall redouble its efforts!

@(Unverified) I wouldn't call a 15 minute queue bad. The hour plus queue I have had some nights I would call bad.

I do love this little movie.

BioWare taking SWTOR queues 'seriously'

@syklonis I'm pretty sure that is 140 servers total, US and EU. I don't think that was 140 US servers.

The Queue: Early access

Dec 15th 2011 11:35AM (WoW)
Winge - my all time favorite British English word. But back on topic. Yes the early access stagger start is awesome. It allows servers to slowly ramp up, and allows them to only add a new server when things are getting tight. Instead of opening a slew of servers on day one, and 3 months down the line consolidating the low pop servers.

Raid Finder items reclassified for intended classes

Dec 13th 2011 7:34PM (WoW)
Awesome because last night I cried when playing my mage I saw a hunter roll need and win the bone linked fetish. I couldn't even use the damned thing, but it made me cry to see all the strength classes loose it to a hunter.

Star Wars: The Old Republic looks to the future [Updated]

Dec 13th 2011 6:58PM (Massively)
@PacketBurner I received the early access email this morning at 4:23. Then I went to work. Stupid job plans a infrastructure migration from Tandem to Unix/Oracle the week SWTOR comes out. Dirty pool old man. Hoping to get home before 11pm tonight and maybe create a character before 4 hours of sleep and back to the office.

5 things WoW could learn from Star Wars: The Old Republic

@ringo - I miss the battlegroup dungeon finder. I found I often grouped with the same people and there was a community with it. Into the region wide finder I never see the same person twice and I can be as big a dick as I want.

I found I was forced to turn subtitles or wear headphones as the wife doesn't want to hear everything going on in my game, and being hard of hearing I had to have the sound way up to hear. I don't like wearing headphones when the wife is home because I play in the living room and I like to be able to still talk with the wife/interact with people in the house.

"More voices in more places"

This is one feature I hear the most complaints about. During the beta, on the general Chanel I saw someone complaining "how do I just get the quest without all this "stupid" story stuff".

It blows my mind that people are complaining that there is too much story in a RPG. I guess it might get a little tedious the 3rd, 4th or 5th time through, but you are playing a RPG for the story...right?

Anyway, love swtor, got my pre-order early access email this morning and cant wait till after work to play some more. But I'm pretty sure I'll still be playing WoW.
