I thought the first was really fun, but Going Commando just felt like a much larger and developed game. You could feel the love the developers had for the game while working on it. I had just finished school and hadn't found a job yet when I was playing it, so I would be up until 4:00 in the morning exploring and leveling up the weapons. It's one of the few games in the past decade I've finished with 100% completion. The other games were still really enjoyable, but none of them have fully recaptured that magic for me, even though Quest for Booty did make me feel like a kid again.
PS3 - Spent my money replacing my computer since the motherboard went bad on the old one and was too old to reasonably swap out without having to upgrade everything else in the box.
If Bioshock is the only game he's ever played, he would know nothing about how many games can make you feel depressed. I remember I was off-kilter for a couple days after beating Conker's Bad Fur day for N64. That game had a seriously depressing ending.
