May 9th 2006 11:49AM (Joystiq)Okay, I am back. Yes, the PSP did not sell out. This is not because it wasn't a great product Nor was it because it didn't have two screen. Nor was it because of the higher price point.
The reason it didn't sell out is because of the poor quality and number of games available at launch. It still suffers from this. Still, the system is considered a success.

May 9th 2006 11:28AM (Joystiq)I get it. I have two business degrees. This thing is, most launch systems are completely sold out in the first day of sales. Then, people sell them on eBay for over a grand and most people get them in this way. No doubt, PS3 will sell out as soon as they can stock the shelves for many reasons (especially that Blu-Ray players will be about $400 more at the time it is released). Then, the price will drop when sales are not keeping up with output. It is a simple business policy.
Well, I am done commenting for now. I must work and all.
