I'd say i'm a pretty hard core gamer, having played games solidly since duke 3d (bring on forever :-D ) and after completing gta4 i thought it was time to change things up and get a wii as my 360 wasn't gonna get much better than that. since i'm no nintendo fanboy the two games i got with it where re4 and boom blox (in the uk boom blox ain't been advertised at all, it's only due to reading sites like joystiq i know that it actually deserved a look).
The problem is, it's just mini games! The characters, although amusing are nothing special like any nintendo figurehead or sonic. And it's not like spielberg features as a playable character or brings anything new that the possible purchaser is aware of by looking at the box. If he chucked in a indy level where u knocked gold idols of coloumns and the gorrila level was saving ET instead, like the lego sw or indy games, the basic mechanics would be made complete by spielbergs movie heritage, and not just contain some square chicken.
Boom Blox a bust at retail, sells only 60k units
