Mass Effect anime coming this fall, all about James Vega

Mar 13th 2012 2:50PM (Joystiq)
How about an anime centered on Garrus' c-sec days? That might have been neat, why go with Vega? I can think of few things in the ME universe that would be less interesting to focus on.

Good thing they scanned your computer, so they know which one you should be playing on.

Guild Wars 2 is going to be a huge obstacle for this game, as is Diablo 3, assuming it's ever released, which may not be an MMO but is still going to create a vacuum of sales around itself.

@tendoboy1984 Age of Empires and Flight are both F2P and so is Crimson Alliance (to a degree). That kart racing game on the Xbox was also supposed to be, until they turned it into a Kinect game, but they are allegedly still working on others.

Pokemon Black and White Version 2 coming this fall to North America

Hopefully not. Why do we need constant remakes of games that are always so similar?

It's not like there's been a massive leap in the graphics OR gameplay mechanics to make it worthwhile. If you want to see the region again, it should just be included as a second location, like they did with Kanto back in Gold & Silver.

I really loved this episode, it helped establish the mood and drama building up to what's going to happen next, which I thought was a lot more interesting than being non-stop action and much closer to what the game should have originally been about.

Too much of what you were doing was totally irrelevant though and the plot itself has more holes than Insurrection (the villains motives make no sense). I also struggle to see how paying almost £20 for so little content comes close to offering good value. It might be a F2P game, but let's not encourage this kind of price gouging.

All in all, it is a step up for STO, but they can still do better.

Don't mistake GW2 for a F2P game. You're free to switch between any server you want, the only penalty being not benefiting from the WvW rewards (which stops people from hopping over to winning sides).

The same argument could be used against pretty much any game. Should we ignore all Mass Effect 3 previews/interviews/reviews from anyone who was a fan of the previous two?

This game is quite a departure from GW1, many hardcore fans of it are refusing to move on, so the fact such big fans of the original are posting impressions like these are a good thing.

If you're arguing against all previews/reviews in general, I don't see why you'd bother reading anything like this to begin with. Everyone is biased if you're going to look at things that way, wait and play it yourself.

That's some real tinfoil hat wearing paranoia right there.

This is a preview, nothing more. But are player reviews any better? Especially when it comes to beta's? You're typically going to get the opinion of fanboys, who love every little aspect of the game and will do nothing but praise it.. or the trolls, who've hated the game since day one or possibly never even really played it and just want to go against the popular opinion.

If you really must, there are previews like this from random fans who've played the demo build at conventions. Most of which have been equally as positive.

They didn't do anything offensive with GW1 and have constantly said the same will be true with GW2. I don't see any reason to believe otherwise.

At most, there will be XP modifiers, which mean nothing in a game where leveling isn't important.
