@RogueJedi86
The issue is that I did nothing. My account information was hacked and they took their sweet A$$ time getting my stuff unlocked. Thank you STEAM! You guys ROCK! (Yes, that's saracasm)

Steam can stick it. I wouldn't buy a game from them seeing as if they disable your account you're screwed and can't play any of the games you've purcahsed. They've burnt me on digital downloads.

Why Blur can damage its cars

ABOSOLUTELY agree with the comment about Gran Turismo. I used to love the series back in the day but really? No damage. Also, does anyone remember an interview with a Forza 2 developer saying that this is all a mith about the car manufacturers being "cranky" about damage?

Bungie talks Mythic maps, confirms ODST will be final content offering

Feb 4th 2009 4:53PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Marathon was Bungies attempt to make a Doom style game back in the mid 90's. It was for the Mac. There is actually a Marathon game you can download on XBL called, "Marathon: Durandal".

Bungie talks Mythic maps, confirms ODST will be final content offering

Feb 4th 2009 4:47PM (Joystiq Xbox)
You're right with the comment about Halo 3 being the last game in the series created by Bungie. With ODST, they are kind of breaking what they said. Remember though, Halo Wars is not made by Bungie. It is being developed by Ensemble Studios (the studio that developed Age of Empires III on the PC.) and Published by Microsoft. Microsoft now owns the IP ("Intellectual Property", sorry if you already knew that.) of Halo. They own the Halo franchise. They can distribute and rehash the game with basically any studio they please. Just because it's Halo, it doesn't mean it's REALLY Halo that we're all used to!!

R-Type Dimensions laser-blasts Xbox Live Arcade

Feb 4th 2009 2:59PM (Joystiq Xbox)
My issue with the $15 price tag is that this is an old IP and all of the games recently released on XBLA have seemed to take a jump in price. Sure it has fresh new visuals and etc but there is nothing new here. You say you bought Galaga for $50.00 for the NES when it came out...that was over 20 years ago. There are many other games out there that are worth the $50 or even $15. I mean heck, even Ikaruga was only 800MS points. My point here is that it seems that XBLA games have gone up in price. Rarely are we seeing anything for 400 or even 800MS points for that matter. If the game is worth the purchase then pay the money. For me, this just isn't a game that's worth the money. That's my opinion though, and you have yours. If you are a hardcore vertical or side scroller shooter fan then this game will of course give you wet dreams and make you feel all giddy inside. For the rest of us that play other games, it's probally a pass.
