Freddie Mercury spotted in EVE Online

"how does this damn camera even work, how am I supposed to know that it's on?"

That is the single funniest line on the forums since the original "Dude, your face"

EVE's incursions go live on Tuesday, Sansha events to follow

Jan 15th 2011 3:19PM (Massively)
The live events are truly one of my favorite things in EVE. I've been involved in a bunch of them in the recent Sansha's invasions on TQ and they get the blood pumping as much as any event in 0.0 or null sec. The fact that you know none of the people your fighting 'with' to repel the Sansha, sitting there in your ship waiting for the players to turn on you as soon as the event is over is awesomely gut wrenching.

Shooting NPCs has never been more fun.

Pre Plus out of stock online at Verizon and AT&T -- so what does it mean?

What does it all mean, Basil?

As much as I want to see WebOS 2.0 and new hardware, I don't believe that's what is happening. Probably the two carriers have decided to stop selling the phone online, will continue to sell stock only in stores until depleted and then drop the phone all together.

Exclusive: Upcoming Apple TV loses 1080p playback, gains apps... and will be renamed iTV

@Sil

I use my AppleTV nearly daily. It's doesn't suck, it's just got somewhat limited uses. If your needs align with its abilities, it's rather nice to have.

@1mc

why the hell would it need a touchscreen? it hooks up to the TV in your house and stays there, preferably someplace you'll never see it again streaming all your content locally or from the cloud and controlled by some sort of IR or WiFi capable device. A touchscreen would be beyond pointless.

@drwecki

No one seems to remember that when the EV1 was available, no one WANTED an electric car. It wasn't until gas started creeping near 5 bucks a gallon that the consumer base got really interested in alternative fuel cars.

Sure there were some people that bought / leased EV1's but the general consumer base didn't want it. The economics of scale never had a chance to kick in and GM killed the EV car project. Fortunately, when it came time to start working on the Volt, it had learned quite a bit from its time working on the EV1 with the added benefit of new computer technology, better batteries and lighter components.

@bernardino

If I remember correctly, it will be available in MI and Washington D.C. at the same time it's available in California.
