OS X Lion Bug: Safari guzzling massive amounts of RAM

Jul 27th 2011 11:29AM (TUAW.com)
A good number of Safari extensions behave very stupidly in how they inject themselves into every single page.

DropDAV: An easy way to link iWork for iPad and Dropbox

You must live in a very simple world if a five-second sign-in to a website is "convoluted". iOS apps live in a sandbox. You have ease, speed, or security. Pick two.

iOS 4.2 and iPhone: New features, fixes and changes

What the hell is everybody talking about with AirPrint being disabled?! I was just able to print to a Bonjour-shared printer in my house on iOS 4.2 and 10.6.5 final (10H574) with nil issues!

Steam for Mac: Uses OpenGL, Intel-only, 10.5 or higher

Call me out for being such a fanboy, but Mac OS does a lot more with the built-in video card on Windows. My old X3100 also ran with similar lack of speed when I upgraded to Windows 7 before upgrading to my MacBook Pro. It's also far more likely that the Source ports simply took one engine (the L4D2 one) to the Mac and then upgraded previous games (HL2, Portal, etc.) to come with them. This would likely bump the requirements to be equal to L4D2, requiring non-integrated Intel Macs.

No thanks, I'll listen to some Weezer.

Farewell, NPAPI! Google Chrome's internal Flash plugin now on by default

Apr 12th 2010 11:48AM (Download Squad)
Where does this put Chrome for Mac users? Is the embedded Flash the same old crappy Carbon Netscape one, or does it the Safari-style Cocoa NSAPI plugin?
