Im going to take a good guess and say that activision MADE infinity ward put the Call Of Duty name on it for a few reason the main one being MONEY.
Infinity ward originally wanted to set Modern Warfare apart because of the problem they have with call of duty right now. They wanted to own the IP themselves and not have activision lay claim to it again and let Treyarch mess up their own franchise. While I am pleased that W@W did not suck quite clearly enough as CoD3 did the fact remains that Infinity Ward builds the engine for the game and then is forced to turn over their engine to Treyarch so they can copy and paste WW2 models into it. Since the CoD name was added it will help bring recognition to the game but at the cost of Infinity Ward losing the rights to the IP.
Why do we even care what this guy is doing? Yes he is an anti-gaming douche-bag. Yes he should probably go die in a fire. But has anyone else realized he went all the way from Florida to Utah? Its not hard to get the country bumpkins enraged about something when all they do is create religious cults that enslave women and stockpile weapons for the end of the world. The next time I see a post on Joystiq about this idiot I want It to be about how much he just cost the state after their new law was declared "unconstitutional"
dear microsoft, please include in your layoffs that annoying trixie lady. She is not appealing in any aspect and needs to stop eating so much. Yours truely, Jesus
I remember a while back hearing that bungie acquired one of the lead developers of the ghost recon series so the name implies alot more than just a suffix I believe. The fact that they show an ODST (a badass marine for those non-halo educated) instead of a super-soldier spartan probably implies a more tactical oriented gameplay. Add the fact he has a silencer on his gun and he avoids confrontation with the brutes and I think we have something more along the lines of a stealth shooter than the run and gun formula Halo is used to. I for one am willing to sell my body to bungie if they would let me get my hands on this sooner than NEXT YEAR.... o well :(
