Story seems a little cheesy for sure, but it will make the wait for Etrian Odyssey IV pass a lot quicker. If the eShop can get more of this caliber games that'll go a long way toward legitimizing it, in my eyes at least.

Have they given any indication as to how long the "story" mode is going to be? I'm not really interested in the score-based modes, I just want to continue Alan's story -- but I'm getting worried about the fact that they keep showing the same locations over and over in these developer diaries.

For my money the best roguelike of the last few years was Shiren the Wanderer: Mysterious Dungeon for the DS. Incredibly challenging, with a storyline that slowly changes as you make attempt after attempt through the dungeons.

I just hope it's not the same demo that came with Mercenaries 3D, that was ridiculously short.

Runner was my favorite of the Bit.Trips, so I'm glad to see it getting a sequel first.

@Kagiroi Granstream Saga was the first 3D RPG I ever played, and you're the first person I've ever heard acknowledge its existence. Thanks for letting me know I didn't imagine it.

As a former 8-year GameStop veteran, they do this kind of thing all the time. If there's any kind of shake-ups of drastic changes in a game's developers/development, they take it out of the system temporarily just to play it safe. It doesn't really have anything to do with the game being legitimately being cancelled, more about GS covering their own ass just in case. I remember just about having a panic attack when they did the same thing with Borderlands, and we all know how that ended.

Is Snowblind really working on this? I love their hack-n-slashs but not sure how they'd do with a big open world title like this.

Thrilled to see Fire Emblem on there, the GBA ones are the best ones they ever brought out. I was thinking they'd throw Advance Wars in there, but I really didn't expect Minish Cap. I'd rather have that than AW any day!
