I know it was always possible, I didn't say it wasn't. But has anyone else done it? No. Has Harmonix done it? No. Is Vicarious stepping up to the plate? Yes. Would Harmonix have done it if VV didn't do it first? No. You know HMX thinks the Wii is the bastard stepchild of this generation of consoles. At least VV is putting in exclusive modes, treating the Wii like a big kid, and doing stuff others are too lazy to do.

Nice Rock Band 1 online. That worked great. I got a lot matches in on that one. Nice Rock Band 2 auto-login system. It's nice to not have manually do that every time. Oh wait. And no game specific friend codes? If that is going to be in RB3, you can guarantee it was because of GH 5. If there is SDHC support in RB3, you can guarantee it will be because of GH 5.

You know, everyone bitches about Activision and Guitar Hero, but at least Vicarious Visions is pushing the Wii. Sure, GH is getting milked, but at least Activision and VV aren't scared of the Wii. When it comes to tech, Harmonix is always playing catch up.
