While it is true that it's being outsourced, the whole of the MP can't be completely done by another company. I'm sure 2K will regularly have to check back with them, especially with a multiplayer that's going for such a specific feel as this one (prequel fitting into canon). 2K will still have to spend more time than I'd feel comfortable with on this MP section- time that they could be using trying to fill the conspicuously Levine-shaped hole in their dev team.

Yes I would assume that + Oxide is a Microsoft title in the way that the other Xbox ones were, where they added an extra word after the name. I say it will have a bunch of new features and hopefully a skateboarding section.

Twitter user @GameFork has leaked this already. He also says Alan Wake shows up, in addition to Metal Gear Solid + Oxide, a 360 MGS4 that will be the finale of the Microsoft Conference. Sorry everyone who doesn't want it on another console. :/

Infinity Ward Call of Duty games don't have cutscenes, the whole story is told through your point of view like in Half-Life 2. They just have a tool in the engine to use a free-roam camera while the scripted events go on to use for the commercials and trailers since it would be boring to see a trailer of the gameplay (for most people). Maybe everyone has forgotten how a real COD game does its storytelling after the waters have been yet again tainted by Treyarch's efforts.

Uh, so you're saying that developing an unneeded MP section will not take time away from doing the SP? And GAMEPLAY is not an XP system and shit. I'm saying the way the controller is used to do basic aiming in Bioshock is NOT GOOD for any kind of competitive setting. I guess you'll have to wait to see the final product to see what I mean.

Everyone who is saying "If you don't like that they have multiplayer then dont play it, it's not affecting you" is incredibly naive. Devs only have so much time to put into a game, and coupled with the fact that this one isn't being made by the REAL Bioshock team (KennyL), this crippling of the singleplayer game's resources only makes the prospect of Bioshock 2 bleaker. Plus, Bioshock didn't exactly have good shooting mechanics (on 360 at least), so it won't lend itself well unless they change the gameplay (which could also be catastrophic).

In short: Bad idea.
