Microsoft sells around 6.4m Xbox360 consoles per year. Sony sells around 9.2m Playstation 3 consoles per year. Yep, seems Microsoft is doing so much better, right? -.-

Anyways the rumours are true and there is enought proof already that Playstation 3 is getting a price drop next month and PS3 Slim as about to be released - these should help to fill the 4-5m gap between these two consoles.

Not to mention this years we'll see games like : Tekken 6 [multiplat] , Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves [PS3], COD Modern Warfare 2 [multiplat], Demon's Souls [PS3] and many other intresting games. In Japan there will be Final Fantasy XIII launch (which is exclusive to PS3 over there). It'll be a very intresting 2009. I wonder how PSP Go! will do ..

Oh and a small note to Xbox fanboys - PS3 has more higher rated exclusives, free and stable online, Blu-ray player, more mature community [check Nielsen's report on console owners age research] and practically zero-like failure rate.

Monster Hunter Unite, Final Fantasy Dissidia, Monster Hunter Tri (psp version was mentioned months ago), new MGS, GT 4 Mobile, Kindom Hearts etc would like to talk to you. :)

Watch this in HD (over GameTrailers) before you say it looks worse than it was shown last year.

Or games like Burnout Dominator, God of War, Final Fantasy Crisis Core, GTA Vice City etc are not real? :)

PS3 game visuals are in fact better than X360 game visuals. Thur far, games like Killzone 2, Uncharted, GT 5 Prologue and such remain the best looking (and playng) games on consoles. While some multiplatformers do look slightly better on the Xbox (ie, better shadows or some AA) then in exclusives theres a big difference.

Next, all the good games? I'm sorry but the last time I chekced (which was two days ago) then Xbox360 had 4 playable games and 2 playable Live arcade titles - aginst 17 playable PS3 games and 8 playable PSN games.

PS3 online gaming is free, the download speeds are faster on PSN and you have the option to download full games on your HDD (which is also easily replaceable with any laptop HDD) and let's not forget the amount of nice PSN games. :)

Average Xbox gamer is 13 ~ 17 while it's 18 ~ 24 on PS3.

Sony said MAG will be out this year and what we've seen thus far (offically) prove that these screens are very OLD or fake.

Actually...PS2 sales are over 150 million and there are still plenty of new games being released on it.

In most of the Europe countries, the PS2 costs around 170€, which is around 250$. - A price drop like this would boost PS2 sales for a while, because the game library is really really huge.

In India the PS2 Slim was just released last year and Sony lowered the PS2 game licencing fee to almost nothing, which means indie devs and devs in poor countries can make games aswell - meaning that the PS2 will stay on market for another 5+ years.

Platinum_Skeet - I didn't talk about resolutions - I was talking about movie formats. Like, it's impossible to stream .mkv files with Xbox.

To date PS3 has sold 210 million games, 22.1 million consoles, and that is a job well done for Sony.

Xbox360 has sold more games of course, maybe it's because it has been out for a year longer and it's selling 2-1 in USA with PS3.

In Japan and Europe the Sony dominates over Microsoft, but the gaming market isn't as big as in the US.

Playstation 3 has proved to be a better console since 2008 Q2 when amazing games started to launch. Let's see now.

PS3 : Free Online, with faster download speeds and average online player is 18~24 (according to Nielsen)
X360 : Online gaming is with a fee, Netflix isn't supported in Europe, Japan and the rest of Asia and average player on Live is 13~17.

PS3 : Allows you to play most movie formats, Blu-ray disks, install Linux and supports 7.1 sound setup.
X360 : Allows you to play some movie formats, no HD-material because HD-DVD died and only supports 5.1 sound.

PS3 : Failure rate is 0.02% on the launch models and even less on the newer 80/160 models.
X360 : Failure rate is up to 33% on the older models with no HDMI port and around 9% with the newest Jasper motherboards.

PS3 : Has games like : Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, WarHawk, Flower, GT 5 Prologue, Heavenly Sword, MotorStorms, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, Ratchet and Clanks, Wipeout HD, Yakuza 3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

X360 : Has games like : Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Banjo Kazooie, Dead or Alives, Crackdown.


These games mentioned on consoles were all exclusive and I listed only playable titles, not some crap like Forza 2 (X360) or Lair (PS3).

PS3 : To be released : inFamous, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, God of War 3, GT 5, White Knight Chornicles, Uncharted 2.
X360 : To be released : Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Halo ODST.



As you can see the Xbox360 is absolutely pathetic compared to the PS3. Too bad there are still so many Xbawks trolls living in 2007 and believe there are not much games avalible on PS3 even though the current library with multiplatformers is over 440 titles.
