I'd been playing a bunch of Heavy Weapon at work (ah, the joyful perks of PartnerNet), and I'll definitely admit, it's not the greatest of sidescrolling shooters... but it's certainly a hell of a fun game. Lots of explosions, and unleashing the first nuke is a great feeling. The graphics for that look awesome.
I have a few systems in storage, and only two in my room, with the others in the living room (since that's where my roomie's HDTV is..), but my whole setup is as follows
SNES (the redesigned one) Jaguar (and no good games for it, yet..) Saturn Dreamcast PS2 Xbox (clear case) Gamecube Original Gameboy Nintendo DS Neo Geo Pocket Color ... and if I wanted to make the picture look extra nice, I suppose I could throw in the Steel Battalion controller and the Xbox Silent Scope rifle.
From what I've seen of SFII on XBLA, it doesn't appear to be a port of the arcade game, but rather a port of, get this, the 3DO version. The reason why I say this is because it still briefly flashes "Loading" on screen when transitioning from the character select screen to the VS screen, and of course, there's a training mode in there, as well. Now, as far as playability goes, it plays just fine. I'd routed the controls up to the same feel as the SNES layout, and it feels like gold.
