Sony to launch Xbox Live-killer?

I am continually amazed by people who seem to have this notion that Nintendo will actually come out on top with the Revolution. This after having seen only the controller with no mention of price, definitive specs, features, third-party support, or games. Nintendo has been losing business since the birth of the N64. They have made a smart move in carving out a stable niche for themselves with the GCN and DS, but that is just what it is, a niche. I seriously doubt they will ever manage to dominate the console industry in the next decade.

Joystiq predicts 2006: the predictioning

I think its hilarious that everyone here seems to have such enormously high hopes for Revolution. Beating out the PS3 or 360? I doubt that even Nintendo considers that a possibility. And if by "potential", you mean the potential to alienate any and all third-party support that Nintendo has left, then yes, the Revolution is full of potential.
