HTC's 4.3-inch Desire HD shows up on video

Aug 9th 2010 11:26PM (Engadget)
I'm guessing this is what the HTC Desire in Japan at Softbank is being replaced by

Shop staff said Japan said the HTC Desire is out of stock and is being replaced by the Desire 2..

'Road SMS' encourages you to text while walking

This is why I'm still waiting for a decent Android phone with a full qwerty hardware keyboard like perhaps the Galaxy Epic.

Hardware keyboard allows you to accurately type without looking at the keyboard.
Not only can you type without looking at your keyboard so that you can look at the text you are writing but you could also type whilst walking or under the desk at school/work or whilst talking with eye contact so as not to be rude..
Essential for me and the reason I miss my Samsung Blackjack!

Ok so which is more likely to happen; the need to replace your screen because the LCD has cracked or replace it because it has gone through it's lifespan and the display starts to degrade?

In mobile devices, as opposed to large panels for TVs etc, it's going to be cheaper to replace them and companies won't have to deal with replacing cracked screens that happens oh to easily on today's electronics.

Well done to Samsung for pushing new technology, I hope we can see this soon.

Computer scientist mods Xbox 360 to detect heart attacks, girls still mysteriously elusive

Sep 26th 2009 10:43PM (Engadget)
Well because if it were to become something that is actually used for this purpose then the 360 is a standardised piece of hardware that can be easily and cheaply bought, and the software only needs to be written and bug squashed to cater for that hardware.

This is a good idea but I wonder what MS has to say about it, even if it does have a benevolent motive

Looks cheap, tacky and uncomfortable.

There's no way I could play 120+ hours of Monster Hunter on that...

Winwatch wants RFID tags in your next wristwatch -- what could possibly go wrong?

Sep 5th 2009 7:02AM (Engadget)
Having a watch strapped to your wrist is much quicker that having to dig out your phone from your pocket. Of course people still wear watches, maybe they have to take better care of their time than you need to?

I wear one every day, don't leave the house without it.

There is multitouch on HTC Hero though I think it is something that HTC has implemented. Still, that means there is multitouch on android just not necessarily with the basic OS distros.
