I would definitely recommend that people start with the human engineer - you've got incinerate for health/armor and overload for shields/barriers (overload can also be specced to jump between enemies and stagger them, which allows you to get the hell out of danger) and the combat drone is invaluable for distracting/staggering enemies (I don't know why - and it may be a glitch - but Brutes completely freeze up when faced with a close quarters combat drone). I've soloed a couple banshees with the engineer after the rest of my team died.

Of course in terms of pure entertainment nothing beats charging about like a manic with a fully Rage-specced Krogan soldier.

I think that's the point - you can't explain it and therefore the only reasonable explanation is that *it didn't happen*. The entire ending scene is a hallucination that occurs as a result of Harbinger attempting to indoctrinate Shepard and the player after Shepard is knocked out and the Hammer forces are destroyed while charging the beam that would take them to the citadel.

I'm ridiculously excited for this game, but I have to admit that I'm still a little disappointed in the new siren's powers, because I absolutely loved Lilith in the first game (got her to lvl 69). Phasewalking was really fun, even if it didn't do *that* much damage (and her abilities with the smg more than made up for that), and she was the best character in the game when it came to soloing (phasewalk sprinting made it easy to escape hairy situations and get around the map). Freezing an enemy in place just doesn't seem as cool or exciting.

I beat it once, but only by walking on my knees the whole way. The goddamn hurdle halfway almost stopped me but I humped it along for 20 meters until I was able to maneuver myself over it.

Without Rockstar to bail him out I can't see McNamara making another successful game.

I also can't see anyone releasing a game with this title (thankfully).

Why? He's great at being in the right place at the right time and getting tap-in goals (which is a valuable skill), but he rarely displays the sort of awe inspiring skill that Messi does pretty regularly.

Ugh, I just love Gearbox so much. Not only are they awesome people with some of the best community outreach around, but they make some really, really good games. Brothers in Arms was one of the last console generation most underrated series and Borderlands is my favorite new IP of this generation.

Never played DNF, but that was hardly their game to begin with.

Uh, I'd say the changes to defending alone probably make this one of the best/most innovative updates in FIFA's history.
