Newest NBA Jam trailer brings plenty of extra heat {Joystiq}

Mar 14th 2010 11:33PM @Broken360: Go play half the big-name games for the Wii, then... I dunno, enjoy it. The Wii even has the original Modern Warfare on it for christ's sake. This is another step in a good direction, and you'd be depriving yourself of some great fun if you passed on an entire system because your uncle likes the pack-in game.

Crysis 2 screenshots look gorgeous (from a certain perspective) {Joystiq}

Mar 4th 2010 8:27PM From what I remember.

-It's exclusively in New York City, nowhere else in the state.
-I don't think the buildings will be destructible (fully). Not because they haven't said so, but because that would be incredibly insane to attempt coding, and it would mess up the game structure too much to cave a skyscraper in over a street.
-Only a few floors in buildings will be available. You won't be able to scale everything.
-As with before: probably not, just based on resources/game design.
-Nope, no Lon Gisland. :(

NPD: Online gaming up 10 percent in US {Joystiq}

Mar 4th 2010 3:28AM You're clearly forgetting about the blockbuster PS3 title, LittleBigModNationMAGHawk 2: Among Thieves.

Mega64 explains the appeal and letdown of Sonic ... the restaurant {Joystiq}

Mar 1st 2010 6:10PM The thing is, it's completely true about Sonic the restaurant too. It's not very good... but you keep going back.

New Blur trailer meant to be watched with friends {Joystiq}

Feb 27th 2010 1:14AM I really want to like this, but the visuals look so incredibly washed out. Given, they're colorful, just... dull.

Why not take this Fable 3 merchandise survey? {Joystiq Xbox}

Feb 25th 2010 4:57PM Submitted: Fable 3 lunchbox.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 getting two DLC maps on day one, more coming in March {Joystiq}

Feb 25th 2010 12:21PM I think the problem Solace is having (not the used game issue, my bad) is that since DLC content is tied to separate EA accounts, everyone has to buy it individually, even if they're on the same console. And there's really no workaround for that because that's how EA's system works.

But it's not like it's a digital rights issue concerning a full game or something. It's a little upsetting that you can't share it profiles more easily, but:

A. If you enjoy the game that much that multiple family members are playing it, might as well show them some love.

B. If two maps is really that much trouble that you have to protest their business practices, there's much bigger problems to take care of than $15.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 getting two DLC maps on day one, more coming in March {Joystiq}

Feb 25th 2010 11:43AM Nah. You buy the game new, and you get optional content. You buy it used a week later, and you can get that stuff by giving some money to the developer instead of the game store. Seems fair enough.
