Dec 27th 2009 12:10AM Haha, do not get me wrong, I LOVE that stuff. I'm a modding/tweaking nerd. It's just a shame that so many people that make up the "hardcore" PC gaming audience seem to think that games are inherently unfun without those.

Dec 26th 2009 10:48PM nerdydesi, I'm saying this as politely as I can because I've been a hardcore PC gamer since the DOS days, but more than anyone who loves consoles or handhelds, PC gamers are HUGE PICKY FINICKY WHINERS. We all expect every single game to be tailor-made for our setups, have massive arrays of video options, come complete with full customability and mod support, supply endless free content, and run incredibly well, and if even ONE of those things is out place, the game is a horrible affront to mankind.
See Modern Warfare 2, or even Halo PC, which got a bad rap because it had a framerate cap and loose aiming despite coming with more content and expanded multiplayer. Anything that's not up to snuff is "too consolely."
On the other hand, everyone else just plays games. And that's why PC gamers get picked on when they ask about things like that.
