Castlevania: Lords of Shadow producer teasing new game, namedrops Dracula
Apr 2nd 2012 6:49PM (Joystiq)There hasn't been a memorable castlevania soundtrack since symphony of the night. LoS on the other hand has some of the best video game... Nay... Music that I have ever listened to. Don't believe me? Find ice Titan and waterfalls of aghartha (sp?) on YouTube and tell me those aren't amazing musical pieces in a video game.
I'm seriously convinced that anyone who said LoS was terrible REALLY didn't play it. Was perhaps the best game I've played this generation.

Mar 27th 2012 7:36PM (Joystiq)He most definitely is. It's awesome that us utahns have good authors to make up for the stain that is Stephanie Meyers.
PSA: Hunger Games: Girl on Fire out today
Mar 23rd 2012 8:27AM (Joystiq)I disagree with you on one point. Stephanie Meyers does an amazing job crafting a compelling story. I just finished the host and loved the story. She just can't write romance which is her bread and butter. She goes off the deep end of cheesiness.

Mar 20th 2012 1:01AM (Joystiq)He can be funny sometimes. I listen to we're not dead which is the community podcast to we're alive (amazing zombie audio drama podcast btw) and he can be obnoxious at times and mildly funny at others.

Mar 6th 2012 11:27PM (Joystiq)You haven't even tried it. Initial tests have shown it's much more accurate than standard thumbsticks and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are all interested in this technology.

Battlefield 3: Aftershock won't return to iOS
Mar 1st 2012 10:39PM (Joystiq)I disagree with you actually. I have dead space for iPad and was sorely disappointed. In a sea of tiny towers and angry birds it's an excellent game but no where near the console versions.
A tour of Windows 8's Xbox 360 integration, as hosted by Engadget
Feb 29th 2012 1:10PM (Joystiq)The idea is, unlike apple, Microsoft wants to create an OS that simultaneously works in a mobile platform (I,e tablet) and a PC. As such you are able to switch from the two at the push of a button. I have an iPad. While it's a great device I'm constantly aware that I am not on a computer.
Dark Side 'Cause It Looks Cool: The Failings of Moral Choice in Games
Feb 10th 2012 8:30PM (Joystiq)Take one example where you're faced with aiming a deadly weapon at a moon or the empire (your enemies). Hitting the uninhabited moon grants positive moral points, aiming it at the empire grants negative moral points. Why? Why can't I be a good guy and try and shoot down my enemies?
It's probably the biggest complaint dark side players have against playing as a good character. The good choices are so.... fuzzy-wuzzy. Why can't they be difficult moral choices that make a character seem strong or heroic without being fuzzy-wuzzy?
Great article very interesting read from a different perspective on the problems with moral choices in games. A lot of what the author says is true.
Rumor: Spark Unlimited producing sci-fi sequel, speculation says Battlefront 3
Feb 8th 2012 10:52PM (Joystiq)Nothing I know of except some MMOs. It was really unique wasn't it? I spent many hours in that mode, strategizing and dominating.
