Jul 13th 2011 11:20AM (Joystiq)well....yeah, but It doesn't necessarily have to be free. It just has to be a good enough offer to serve as a tool for advertising the sequel for the game like having uncharted 1 available digitally for a cheap price (maybe comparable to used pricing or maybe cheaper) or otherwise as a full game demo for a week or so to expose PSN users(not just plus users) to the series. Kinda like they did with Assassins creed I and II a few weeks ago, i never played them and now i own both and really am enjoying them, I just bought brotherhood on my PC from steam with the summer sale and am planning on getting revelations when it comes out all thanks to my experience with the first 2 on PS3.
I also think it will help Sony make PSN a definite place to go for their First party games. Kinda like what EA is trying to do with origin with their games and content and (steam-like)pricing instead of having to go through a retailer. I'm sure if the price is right people would buy from them over getting used, they can take some of the money out of the used game sales with this, which is better than making no profit at all right?

Jul 13th 2011 2:29AM (Joystiq)that's true but it doesn't have to apply to all their games on a frequent basis, it could be like those full game demos you know or throw out the occasional free title? its not like Sony is making much money from the old games any more these days anyway, especially since they more than likely to sell used than new anyway.
