Old 'New Rally-X' on Xbox Live Arcade

Dec 27th 2006 10:30PM (Joystiq)
What are you talking about, this is a classic game. It always amazed me when people trash on these older games, comparing them to the current generation of games. Of course the graphics don't compare, but when you realize the history of the game and what programmers and engineers were able to produce with their limited assets of the time, it is a marvel that we ever got anything like this (which paved the way for todays games).

I have a short history of Rally-X up on my blog (http://extraordinaryarcade.com/?p=40). It is definately worth a look (the game, not necesarilly my blog post :)

Nice reference to Arrested Development Ben R. I couldn't stop thinking about that as well while I watched this episode.

Not One, but Two LOTR Prequels?

Oct 25th 2006 12:43PM (Cinematical)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is already a remake. I wish they would release the original (called Bedtime Stories) in the US on DVD (I really like the original, but love the remake as well).

I wouldn't be suprised if your prediction came true though, seems to be the way we're headed.

Jon Lovitz to mock real-life court shows

Ha, I was thinking the same thing MW (I love arrested development, and I can't beleive how much this sounds like the Judge Reinhold joke).

The Office: Gay Witch Hunt (season premiere)

Sep 22nd 2006 9:40AM (AOL TV)
I bet they are going to bring Jim back to the other branch along with some of his new co-workers (merger). They will probably have him there fleshing out their characters for a while, and then the company will have to merge (like the UK office). I thought it was a great episode, and I love this series.

Extras done after two seasons

Does anyone know when the first series will be out on DVD in the states? I can't seem to find that info anywhere.

Top 10 GameCube games that need to be Wiimade

Aug 30th 2006 11:26AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I know it's not a "GameCube" remake, but ever since I saw the wii remote, I thought it would be perfect for a remake of Toy Commander (from the DreamCast). The game is basically played as if an invisible hand is holding all of your vehicles, it would be awsome to hold the wii remote instead and play like that (I think that game was seriously under rated, really fun stuff).

The state of DS homebrew (it rocks?)

Aug 15th 2006 11:10AM (Joystiq)
I own a super card, and it's great. It is comparitively affordable and comes in lots of different options (CF memory, SD memory, mini SD memory, DS Lite site, etc...)

I would whole heartedly recommend this to anyone interested in DS homebrew (I have tested it with pretty much all of the listed homebrew in the article, and it works great). I especially enjoyed playing Day of the Tentacle again (was a fun trip down memory lane). I haven't gotten the latest ScummVM for DS, but plan to do it when I get some more time (they now have support for Simon the Sorcerer and I've been itching to dust that off and play it again).

If you need more info on Supercard, check out http://scdev.org, a very active and helpful community for the SuperCard.

The Five: Annie's fall picks

Aug 14th 2006 2:59PM (AOL TV)
Does anyone know when season 1 of extras is going to be released in America? I would love to re-watch season 1, but haven't heard any news of a US DVD release.
