I've played every 3-D platformer this generation so far, and Super Mario Galaxy is indeed the best one yet, and from the looks of it, will be for some time.

Voted up, best comeback of the year.

There are better Bond games, and much better Rare games. I'm tired of people going "OH YEAH I KNOW RARE LOLOLO I LOVED GOLDENEYE".

Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, the Donkey Kong Country series, Kameo, and Jet Force Gemini were all much better than Goldeneye.

But as a whole, Portal and SMG were much more innovative games than Halo 3 and GTA IV were. Halo 3 and GTA IV were more "expansive" than "innovative", because they added onto concepts already there. Portal and Galaxy did things that are completely new, hence, innovative.

It's not "revolutionary", though, the word is "innovative". The concepts I named may not be used in other games, but how at all are Halo 3 or GTA IV, sequels to games they're extremely similar to, innovative?

That's like calling MGS4 innovative.

...what? The World is Not Enough was first-person too. >_>

And that's the game I was thinking of, Goldeneye's great, but way overrated.

So this game beat out a revolutionary first-person puzzle game, a game starring a plumber in space, and a game that's entirely played on a bathroom scale.

How is Generic FPS 3 more "innovative" than any of them?

Yes, but Halo 3's a brand new game, right?

The second paragraph's results unsettle me more than the rest of the article, to be quite honest...

For a Bond game, I'd probably say 3rd person would actually be better.

And of course, the one good game in the Bond game franchise was 1st person. >_>

As an exclusive Gamecube owner, I am disappointed by this year's Madden platforms. :(
